One Day Mysore Trip

We took a one day local cab tour in Mysore. We booked our cab prior to the trip in savari. First, we started from famous Chamundeswari temple in Chamundi Hills, and then while coming back we visited the Nandi Statue on the same hills. Then we went to Mysore Palace and spent an amazing time in there. Though the palace is lit with lights at the Sunday evenings or on special occasions, we managed to enjoy a lot in a day visit. From there we had some lunch and started to Historical town Sri Rangapatna , which is very near to Mysore. Please note that the temples might be closed in the afternoon and will be opened around 4 in the evening. We went to Daria Daulat Bagh and other famous places around the beautiful town. At the evening we went to Ranganatha Swamy temple in other side of the fort city where some remains of Tippu Sultan's palace is still seen. After that we came back to mysore ending our one day visit around Mysore. We had little time to visit places around Mysore and missed most of the places. If you can start early tour you can even manage a visit to KRS Dam and Bird Sanctuary which is a bird watchers paradise in the right season.
