So proud to host our 7th edition, the previous one was a riot at Panchgani.
Highlights of the trip:
1. Weekend getaway from the city which starts at noon at the Gateway of India.
2. Spud in the Box playing an exclusive gig for you on a starlit night
3. Camping in Murud, overlooking the Arabian Sea and a valley on the other side
4. Pool-side early evening plans. For a good old fashioned evening cool-off in summer
5. Local food cooked by our local master chef.
6. Make summer wishes and release sky lanterns in the sky
7. A weekend in the outdoors with like minded people. Far away from the city
Campsite:
We will be staying at the Wanderlust campsite in Murud which faces the Arabian sea. You will stay in
comfortable tents with sleeping bags. The campsite has an undulating landscape and the gig will
take place in the sand shack area with comfortable chattais spread out and fairy lights around, making
for one unforgettable live Music experience.
Journey:
We take an AC catamaran from the Gateway of India and cross to the other side. To reach this village called Mandwa. We then take a non-ac bus that takes us on a 2.5 hour ride to the campsite. We stop for lunch along the way. The road meanders through villages, valleys and bridges over rivers. It’s a pretty ride.
Poolside:
A perfect way to cool off after a drive. The pool is located close to the campsite. And we head there post settling into the tents. Jump into the waters, get your swimwear, slippers, shades and splash around the water for as long as your please.
About the Band:
Spud in the box is a six piece alternative rock band from Mumbai. Since their formation in 2011, the band has gone on to garner popular and critical acclaim for their tight, energetic live performances and accessible songwriting. The band involves the musical energies of Joshua Singh on drums, Zubin Bhathena on bass, Rohan Rajadhakshya on vocals and keyboards, Ankit Dayal on vocals and guitar, and Hartej Sawhney and Siddharth Talwar on guitars. They have opened for Grammy award winning artist Norah Jones and have performed at almost all the major Music festivals all around the world.
