It was a most awaiting trip for my travel journey. I completed my 3 years in Himachal Pradesh and planning to visit Manimahesh every year but couldn't make it.
As everyone says that unless until God wants you to visit you can't visit holy places.
More then 13500 feet above the sea level Manimahesh, Yatra starts every year from Krishna Janamastmi and ends on Radhaasthmi.
Lord Shiva is the presiding deity of this yatra. He is believed to reside in Kailash. A rock formation in the shape of a Shivling on Kailash is considered to be the manifestation of Lord Shiva.
we started our journey from parwanoo (H.P)by car in the night at around 8:00pm and reached Chamba in the morning at around 5:00 am.
This is our second day and we started journey from Chamba to Bharmour and reached at 8:30 am.
We visited the Bharmani Temple and had a dip in holy kund.
Then we reached to the hadsar and parked our car and started our trekking to Manimahesh.
We started trekking at 2:30pm, it was a pleasant weather and the mountains were so beautiful. It was a great feeling which can't be explain in words.
After almost 3-4 hours trekking one of our friend was not able to walk and therefore we need to cut down our speed. Hence to reached gauri kund we took almost 10 hrs and we reached gauri kund at 12:00 am.
As everybody was tired therefore we decided to stay in a shelter at guri kund in the night.
We walk up 6'oclock in the morning and continue trekking towards Manimahesh we took about 2 hrs to reach to Manimahesh.
After reaching the Manimahesh we took a dip in holy lake and then offer our pray to the Lord shiva.
The major attraction of this yatra was Mani darshan.
We had breakfast in the food stall which was free of cost for everyone and we loved the food very much.
We started returned back to hadsar at 10:30 am and reached at 3:45 pm.
Picked up the car at 4:00 pm and started our return journey and reached the parwanoo back in the next morning 8:30 am
