This is the last story of our memorable trip to north east of India. Last day is mostly journey towards Guwahati, if we can start early we can cover few places on the way back
Post discussion with our coordinator and our gang, we decided to cover the below
1. Nohkalikai falls
2. Garden of caves
So, we packed our bags early and started towards Nohkalikai falls view point where our breakfast was planned
We had breakfast at Bansiewdor Dhaba which is next to falls view point and even it hosts nice view of falls from hotel balcony
We had yummy Aloo Parotta, Paneer Parotta and Poori here. All these were tasting good and satisfied every ones taste buds
Before leaving, we had nice views from our stay balcony to capture happy moments
We can trek down to blue waters at the bottom of the falls, provided we have another day to spare
After having breakfast we started towards Garden of caves, which is our last attraction of our trip
Garden of caves hosts several falls inside it. Since its winter, the water level was less so the small stream of falls within it were not excited as other big falls we saw on the other 2 days. But, they were photogenic and we can quite easily spend more than half a day here
Entry fee at Garden of caves: 100/- per adult and 50/- per child
After rushing through Garden of caves, we had to move towards Guwahati
On the way back to Guwahati, it was cloudy and started to rain. Finally we saw hailstone rain which is trademark of Chirapunjee and Meghalaya
We had our Snacks cum dinner at 'Sardarji Dhaba' on the way back to Guwahati. Food was good here and had a Thali and other roti options as usual
As a gesture of bidding bye to Guwahati and Meghalaya, a pic at airport cought our attention
On a concluding summary, I would like to add few tips and tricks for the journey
1. In case you are purchasing some thing, check price once with shop keeper and then take your vehicle driver to bargain and purchase, it will save some money
2. Keep enough cash so that doing transactions is easy in all places. Leave the place clean, always use 'Pay and Use' wash rooms present at all attractions
3. Better to carry enough snacks so that skipping lunch would not be a problem, as most days we will have enough journey
4. Please plan to tackle vomiting sensation as its always (almost) ghat section journey on all days
5. Make use of Lounge facility at airports if you have eligible credit and debit cards
As informed in my first blog of Meghalaya tour, below is my review or feedback on Go Adventure travels for our trip
Coordination - 4 Stars (They customized, were flexible and supportive)
Accommodation - 2 Stars (Both accommodations were not so good)
Food - 5 Stars (They allowed us to eat what ever and how much ever we need at the hotels they stopped/planned on each day)
Vehicle - 2 stars (Vehicle was in good condition, but not clean at all)
Overall - 3 Stars (It was economical or budget friendly when compared to other packages as I have come across)
Please feel to add any details or tips i have missed to capture here, so that it helps fellow travelers
