Today was a charming surprise. I got up in the morning with a strong urge to travel. People crave for alcohol and I crave for travelling. So I asked google about short trips from delhi and it came up with LANSDOWNE. I decided to give it a shot and packed my bags and started a road trip to Lansdowne at 4 am. Lost in myself and the music, I reached Kotdwar around 8 am and wondered that I have read and heard that Lansdowne is a hill station and it is just 40 kms from here, WHERE IS THE HILL STATION. And suddenly, I found amazing view. From Kotdwar to Lansdowne, it is an amazing ride of beauty. I drove slow and enjoyed the view. It was mesmerising and very peaceful. I reached lansdowne by 9 am and found a homestay that welcomed me with open arms. The owner was very friendly and was cute so I did not give it a second thought. Took the bath, got ready, had delicious homemade food and headed towards 'Tip N Top'. The place was beautiful. It started raining heavily by the time I reached there so I had some maggie and got lost in the view. It was so beautiful and so peaceful that I did not feel like leaving the place. Stayed there till 5 pm and then headed towards 'St mary church' and then back to homestay and enjoyed tea in the balcony with the cute owner. Such a fab day it was!
