Konark Sun Temple, Konark

The Konark Sun Temple was built using black stone during the reign of the then King Narasimha Dev I. Because of this, the Sun Temple is also known as Black Pagoda. In 1984, UNESCO also granted the Sun Temple the status of World Heritage Site.
