The weekend was long and my husband was viting me in Jaipur, so idea just popped in my head why not show him true colors of Rajsthan, our own #RangiloRajasthan. Here begun our journey and we named it #Rajasthanonwheels as it was road trip. (2 person )

[Trip was bit costly as we decided to to go by car(Etios) and it has charged us Rs.9/Km but its been worth to spend every penny :)]

"Hum jo Chalne lage, Chalne lage hai ye raaste"

Day 1

We reached our place at 8pm -Crazy Camel Guest house. The place was well maintained and cheap and rooftop was like you can sit there all night long, it has cost us 500/day for single room and we did dinner there itself which charged us 500 for 2 persons.

Day 2

Next day at 6am we left for very famous Tannot Mata Temple, reached there around 10am, very well mainted by BSF officials. Within temple they had maintained mini meuseam of war weapons which were bombarded by pakistan on India.

At 10;45am we left for "Longewala War Measuem" got bit delayed beacause of road construction in between. It shows armament and artillery used by pakistan and India in battle of 1971. The journey from jaisalmer to longewala is very scenic as you will get to see many windmills and will see straight road with no vehicle honking around and dunes n dunes everywhere.

While on our way back to our hotel, we also visited Bada Bagh- The royal cenotophs, reached their around 2:20pm and spent 30 minute ejoying beauty. The place is good for photography and you can spend some time sitting there under chattris and have look at serene view.

We came to our hotel at around 3pm, had lunch quickly and left for Kuldhara Village. Kuldhara holds mysteric history of abandonment and destruction. You will for sure enjoy visiting this place as it lies enroute to Sam which nobody can miss when one is in Jaisalmer, the real Thar/Registaaaan. Covered it in 45 min and finally left for Sam dunes.

Our caretaker at the hotel has arranged our camel safari and jeep safari. Jeep safari is must to do it will give you adrenaline rush. Both has cost us INR2400.

Returned to hotel at 6pm had tea and left to see"Patwon ki Haveli" which was just 600m from our place of stay. It lies in very small local road. The view of Jaisalmer Fort from Haveli was magnificent.

By walking hand in hand with my husband we went to see Gadisar Lake. Well the lake is ohkay types but we enjoyed boat ride on our own at very nominal price (Rs 100/30min but we drove it for some 45min). Purchased souvieniers from shops outside the lake.

Day 1

We started off 6am in the morning for jaisalmer from jaipur. Our driver has advised us to go via Bikaner as the road is good so journey will be smooth. Enroute crossing bikaner how can one miss "Karni Mata Temple also called Rat Temple" and Junagarh Fort. We were there around 11:30am and left around 1pm. Karni Mata lies 25km off route the main jaisalmer highway while Junagarh is perfectly located within city. In midst we stopped for lunchbreak and then continued for jaisalmer.

Day 3

Woke up at 8am and it was raining outside so we opened our balcony and had fort view breakfast. Visited Jaisalmer Fort at 9am and left for Jodhpur at 10am.

Nearby the fort lies Jaswant Thada, it gives spell bound view of fort: on one side a lake and mountain ranges on another side. Good point for photography. Returned to our guest house (Godawan guest house for Defense personnals-as my husband is Scientist in DRDO bookded it at 100/day, dinner 50/person).

Day 4

Next Day in morning we visited Umaid Bhawan Palace at 9am it has some paid entry under Rs 100 only. The palace has restricted entry and maharaja and his family lives there and one part is open there for visitors as museum.we did shopping in National Handloom near ghantaghar.

Day 3

It took us 4 hour to reach our next destination. We visited kaylana lake just before entering jodhpur, spend 20minutes and left for Mehrangarh Fort (3pm). This fort is magnificient and huge and witholds the history of love, sacrifice, battle won and lost. It took us !hr with guide to see whole fort (Guide charges 600 or 700 for group of 15 people, we joined some group and given share Rs55 each). The souviner shop at the end of fort are good and being shopholic I can resist myself from buying book, lantern, postcard, camel, bangle's etc.

Day 4

Started our journey back to jaipur at 2pm , reachded around 6pm. And thus i want to end my trip of countless memories with one word. #RememberRajasthan .
