Its my first post to tripoto so would like to start with sharing my beautiful experience from the kerala road trip.
Kerala,
also known as God's Own Country and One of the most visited tourist place in India.
Alappuzha also known as Alleppey, In 2016, the Centre for Science and Environment rated Alappuzha as the cleanest town in India & it is one of the oldest planned city.
The Backwaters of Alappuzha is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Kerala which attracts millions of domestic and international tourists to the district and employs vast number of locals in the private sector. A houseboat cruise in these backwaters can be booked.
Apart from houseboat services, the Kerala State Water Transport Department provides government boat services within the district and Quilon (Kollam) which considers the best and cheapest way to explore the Backwaters of Alleppey.
I started this journey with my 3 friends from Pune.
We took a local train from pune and reached Mumbai. We had light breakfast on station as we were super hungry then via taxi we travelled to Airport as we booked our flight to kochi by Makemytrip
then we collected the tickets & spent some time reading on Airport as flight was late.
We reached Kochi Airport after a flight of an hour.
The first place on the list was Munnar, we look a car on rent & headed to Munnar, it's a beautiful place surrounded by lush greenery of tea & coffee fields.
We stayed at Season 7 Nature Resort, it's situated almost 5-6 km from main road, if you are searching for peace it's nice place for you, but you have to carry food on your own as they lack kitchen facility or order as early as you can. We got our food at around 1.00am also it was scary stay for us, as there were no other people except staff and us, so we cancelled our stay for next day.
We did sight seeing in Munnar,
Visited a Tea factory Harrison's Malaylam LTD
It's situated on the top of tea and coffee fields & to visit they have arranged special jeeps as no other vehicle can reach top, it'll cost around 1100Rs per person, but trust me it's worth it.
The surrounding view is awesome & you are literally in clouds. The road is tough though, but we need to climb mountains to see view of valleys.
They also have a museum by side. Then we roamed in fields and headed back.
Due to inconvenience caused at hotel in munnar with decided to visit one of my friend vivek from Alleppey for next day and decided to stay there.
So we traveled to alleppey at Vivek's place.
He welcomed us with smile on his face and delicious keralian food.
For Next 3 days we hog in some delicious keralian delicacies.
Also we visited Adavi Eco - Tourism, Manneera which is famous for it Bowl Boat Riding.
