KASHMIR...The first thing that comes to our mind when we listen to it is HEAVEN ON EARTH...I would say truly it is...
Kashmir was always one of my dream destination like most of other travellers .But taking into consideration the fact that its constantly in news due to violence and civil unrest we always kept postponing our trip. Since we were travelling with our kids it was mo difficult for us to make a decision.Finally in Jan 2019 after a lot of research online and getting positive feedback about Kashmir being very safe for tourist, we decided to go in April 2019 to Kashmir.

BY TRAIN
NEAREST RAILWAY STATION JAMMU TAWI
We reached Srinagar Airport on 4th April and were picked up by our driver at the airport.The views from the flight were simply amazing.We Left from Srinagar for pahalgam. Since we had an overnight flight we decided to rest at the hotel.
SRINAGAR- PAHALGAM (2 hrs by Road)
We reached Pahalgam by 4 p.m and since we were tired after and overnight flight we decided to take a rest at the hotel.The hotel was located close to a river and with a great view.
Early Morning after Breakfast we went for a horse ride to BAISARAN VALLEY also called the mini Switzerland.While we started we thought it to be a normal horse ride to the valley so me and my hubby took our kids along.He took one child and I took the second who at that time were 5 years old.(They are twins).But as we went ahead we noticed a steep slope and a rough terrain that's when we realized this is not going to be easy.While we were excited about the adventurous road we were a little bit worried abt the kids and also my rest of the family since we had elderly people also traveling with us.But I would really advice took take this ride atleast once.Its fantastic.
PAHALGAM- GULMARG(3 hrs 30 min)
We left for Gulmarg on the 3rd day and I was so excited.Gulmarg was covered entirely in snow and the picturesque view left us mesmerised.
We check in our hotel which was all surrounded by a white blanket of snow and beautiful views.
After check in we decided to go out and enjoy the view also had some snow fight with kids.
Next Day we went for the Gandola Ride(Cable Car).we had already booked the tickets online..Gandola has three phases but we travelled only upto phase 1 as all activities happen at phase 1.
Once we reached the phase 1 it was literally a feel of heaven..We tried our hands and sking too.
Gulmarg to Srinagar- By Road 1 hr 35 min
It was time to leave Gulmarg and head towards Srinagar Took a rest the day we reached.
The next day we went to the famous Tulip Garden called the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden.It is one of the largest Gardens in Asia.The Tulip festival is held between March and May every year and we were Lucky to have got a chance to see this.kas
Srinagar -Sonamarg 2 hrs
The last day we visited Sonamarg which means Meadow of Gold.After visiting the whole of Kashmir we knew this place wouldn't disappoint too and it actually did not.
Again you can hire pony to go up but I think it is not required if you you are fine with walking.I would suggest to hire ponnies only if there are elderly people or kids along with you.They also have few activities here.
And it was Finally time to say Goodbye to this Beautiful place. we surely took back beautiful memories of this place and it shall remain forever
Hope to be back to this place someday soon.Kashmir and the warmth of Kashmiri people will always remain with you. That's why I call it TRULY..HEAVEN ON EARTH..
