Kashmir - Winter wonderland

The day started with a beautiful snowfall. We all got so excited to see the entire valley turning into white.

We left our hotel to took shikara rides on Dal lake price was around Rs 800 for the entire ride. But, you can negotiate with them. On the shikara, we saw floating markets and floating gardens all arounds. It was a mesmerizing view. We had kahwa there and rested in front of heat to make our bodies feel mormal. After an hour, we started riding shikara back to hotel and while returning back we saw the entire Dal lake was frozen. The view was epic and beyond words.

After returning to hotel we stayed at the hotel for the entire day and watched the beauty of snowfall.

This day is going to be something special as we planned to take a route to Gulmarg, the most beautiful place of Kashmir.

We started from our hotel for Gulmarg. Before reaching Gulmarg, we took dresses and shoes so as to protect us from snow. It costs around Rs. 300-400 per person. We were now on the hills of Gulmarg and it was like a winter wonderland. I have never seen such huge flow of snow at a place.

Kashmir has always been on news because of many reasons. Deciding to go to Kashmir was always a tough one. But, we say that it's not about what you think it's about what you do.

We started our journey from Delhi by car and it took us around 17 hours to reach the valley of Srinagar. As soon as we entered the valley, it was a spectacular view of Dal lake.

We took hotel in front of Dal lake and rested for the entire day. Hotel costs per day was around Rs 1000.

We started back our journey to Delhi and on the way we stopped at some places to gather the beautiful views and memories for lifetime. ❤️

Note : If we want to experience snow at it's best then we should plan our trip in Dec - Feb. But, you can get stuck for a day or two because of heavy snowfall. Entire journey cost was around 25k-30k.
