Kasauli

We arrived at 1930h after starting at 1215h from Greater Noida.
We took the EPE highway and hit Karnal Zhilmil Restaurant after three hours.

The moment we checked in we could listen to the lovely pine tree whistle in our ears.
Unpacked and hit the bed early.

I got up at 0500h and got ready for the Sunrise point. I took my car as there wasn't any traffic early morning. Setup my tripod and Camera and waited. It was nippy and luckily I was wearing a winter jacket and sweatshirt.

There is a flight of stairs going down into the Pine forest. I avoided the trail as climbing back may have been knee breaking.

Returned and got ready for the Market. Kasuali only has a lower n upper Mall Road. Tibetan and Heritage markets respectively.
Some shops were open and are good for shopping.

The bandsamosapatti was refreshing and nice. Surprise item was gulabjamun packed inside a band. Mr Narender runs the shop for 46 years now.

Christ Church.
Later we went to the vintage old Church of Kasauli.

A very old Church stands next to the multilevel parking near upper Mall road.

Gilbert trail

The two kms plus Gilbert trail offers a good view of places as far as Chandigarh. But the haze prevented us from seeing.

Dring the night I did some sky photographying. It's is not often that one gets to see such clear skies.

Getting up early is an habit now. Was up early to soak in the Blue hour and golden hour period sunrise for some fantastic clicks and a cup of tea.

Afternoon, was spent meeting old Veterans at the Kasauli Club. Great place and ambience. It is so very nice to reminisce old times of the tough n not so tough but glorious times spent together in Fauj.

Did some Pine grove trekking. Enjoyed the scenery all around.
In the AN went dn to the highway Dharampur. On our way back picked up jam, maemelade, pickles, tea and wines of HP.
Ended the evening with some samosas and Jalebi.
