I decided to register for the trek & trail to Upper Kanheri merely out of jealousy of watching endless pictures on instagram of wanderlust.Nothing looked more surreal than walking through the woods.
After surfing through various trekking & hiking communities on internet i came across the Events High app and found a listing of the upper kanheri trek and trail conducted by a outdoor events company called KSHITIJ.
The gates at the SGNP open at 7:30 am for the non-members.My trekking group of 12 members assembled at around 7:30 and we went to the Nature Information Centre (NIC).
One needs to hike for about two hours to reach Kanheri Caves .Being winter season one can see various migratory birds ,spiders and if you are lucky even deers in their natural habitat.
