Day 1

After returning from Auli I was all set for another breathtaking journey to Chopta Tungnath.
We started our journey from New Delhi to Rishikesh on the night of 27th from bus.

Day 2

At rishikesh we took a bus to srinagar and then from srinagar we booked a taxi up to chopta.
It took us around 14 to 15 hours from new delhi to chopta.
Whike travelling we took a stop at a place to chill and there was a river.

We reached chopta and then found some budget hotels to stay.
Chopta is a small region of meadows and evergreen forest area which is a part of kedarnath wildlife sanctuary located in state Uttrakhand, and a base for trekking to Tungnath, third temple of Panch kedar, which lies 3.5 kilometres away.
We found some budget hotels and we have our food and stayed in the rooms for a while.
We had a lot of fun there. The ice was melting and the temperature was around 2-3°C.
We then had our dinner and I must admit that the food there is mandatory to eat.
The food there is so mouth watering that i cant resist my self to fill me up to the extreme. And that choole ki roti and saag was too luscious. And we went to find some bonfire. And then we were done for the day and went to our room for a sleep.

Day 3

The TREK

Today we have to start our trek to Tungnath Mahadev temple.
It was very cold. We arrange a pair of snow shoes for everyone on rent and then we started or trek.
First 1 hour was very tiresome. Everyone was exhausted but then the view propelled us to trek and within 3 hours we were at the tungnath temple.

The view there was so much enraptured that i fall in love with the place and the temple itself.
However we can't make it to chandrashila because of too much snow.

Now what to say about that place.
No words can explain the beauty of the place. We stayed there for around 1-1.5 hrs and then we headed back to chopta because there was no way to go to chandrashila.

We reached chopta upto 5 and the we called our taxi and started our journey back to delhi. Then we decided to stay back at rudraprayag and enjoy the sangam.

At around 8 we were at rudraprayag and took a hotel and stayed there.
Then we had our dinner and went back to sleep. We couldn't go anywhere because it was night.

Day 4

We waked up and went for local sightseeing. Rudraprayag sangam is a good place there.  We spent a good time here and then we boarded a bus from rudraprayag to rishikesh

Till dusk we reached rishikesh and then we headed towards bus stand to take a bus to new delhi. That's the end of a fabulous journey to a paradise.

Day 5

We reached new delhi early in the morning of 31st and the journey ends here.
These 2 trips in a month to auli and tungnath is something i can never forget.
In all it took around 5-6k per person if you don't drink.
*Chopta does not have any liquor shop so if you want to have a drink take it with you from srinagar or from rudraprayag.
You can check the blog for auli trip in my profile.
