Jispa, a beautiful hamlet, is located on the most travelled Leh-Manali Highway and the banks of the River Bhaga 20 km north of Keylong and 7 km south. Jipsa is located at 3200 m above sea level and is the largest hamlet in the district of Lahaul. The high Himalayan Mountains generate fascinating pictures in the background.
While it is often regarded as a pit stop en route Leh on the Manali-Leh Highway, I beg to differ. This location is worth a visit of your own! This little town, home to around 78 homelands, serves as a stopover for the long road trip to Leh-Ladakh, at an extraordinary height of 10,500 ft. Jispa is just embellished in the background by the rough mountain terrains, and when you can view this town from afar, it appears to be so tiny that it dominates the towering Himalayas.
