Hampi, over the last few years has gained a lot of popularity among travellers keen on exploring the religious and cultural ruins of the once magnificent capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. If you have, however, missed out on visiting this captivating landscape till now, then IRCTC is giving you the perfect opportunity to make this your next destination.
Over the last year, IRCTC has come up with a lot of exciting packages for domestic as well as international destinations through its tourism arm, IRCTC Tourism. Taking this initiative forward, it has now launched an exciting package for those looking to explore the UNESCO heritage site of Hampi in Karnataka.
This three-night four-day package starts at a modest tariff of just Rs 11,300 per person (triple occupancy) as per the official announcement on their Twitter page. Known as the Heritage Hampi plan, the tour will commence from Hyderabad and will be visiting the nearby destinations of Badami, Pattaddakkal and Aihole as well.
Tour details
The tour package starts from August 9th, from Hyderabad. Passengers will be flown in a TruJet flight from Hyderabad to Vidyanagar (Bellary) at 1.00 pm. Post their arrival at Vidyanagar Bellary Airport, passengers will be transferred to Hotel Malligi in Hospet. The tour price includes breakfast and dinner.
All other expenses for sightseeing are included in the cost of the tour package including tour guide’s fee at Hampi and Badami, travel insurance and IRCTC’s services during the tour. Only personal expenses such as laundry, mineral water and snacks are excluded. An air-conditioned tempo traveller will be used for sightseeing during the tour.
Itinerary
Day 1: Visit to Tungabadra Dam in the evening post arrival.
Day 2: Local Day Tour from Hospet to Hampi.
Day 3: Sightseeing tour to see the monuments of Aihole and Pattadakkal and Badami Caves.
Day 4: Return flight to Hyderabad from Bellary Vidyanagar Airport.
Tariff details
For single occupancy, the tariff starts at Rs 13,530 per person while for double occupancy you will be charged Rs 11,770 per person and Rs 11,300 for triple occupancy. Children between the ages of 5 and 11 years will be charged a Rs 11,290 with bed additionally and Rs 10,040 without a bed.
