Another Solo Trip to Coorg! It is popular for its beautiful green hills and the streams cutting right through them. It is well known for its exotic scenery and lush greenery.
I planned to visit Dubare Elephant camp. I hired a taxi which cost me around Rs 1800 for whole day. On reaching, we had to take a boat to reach the camp.
It is located on the banks of River Cauvery. It attracts hoards of tourists from everywhere!
All the activities like elephant bathing, Riding and feeding were closed due to Corona. At the Dubare Elephant Camp, a visitor can spend hours simply watching Elephants and of course, learning more about them. A trained Naturalist is at hand to explain the various aspects of Elephant history, ecology and biology. It was a beautiful feeling to watch this giant animal.
From there I went to another beautiful place, Chikli Hole Dam!
The reservoir has been made on one of the tributaries of the River Cauvery.
This large body of water is a perfect place for nature lovers.
This dam has a unique semi circular structure !
This place offers both relaxation and tranquillity. The water is so clean and clear 😍
This is the place for photographers !
And then it suddenly started raining! ❤️
From here I visited Niaargadhama Forest Park !
Formed by the main river of the region, River Kaveri, it is surrounded by dense forest.
It presents an excellent opportunity for tourists to have a close interaction with nature. Visitors can enter the reserve through the hanging bridge.
Here I also got the beautiful opportunity to feed the birds ! ☺️
And also play with the big birds ! Have a look
Situated on an altitude of 4050 feet Mandalpatti is Madikeri’s famous hilltop. Being a lush green, serene place, it is perfect for nature lovers!
I hired a jeep that costed me Rs 1700 for my round trip ! You can do bargaining also and try your luck 😅
I started at 5:30 am and reached around 6:15 am . The road to the view point is in itself an adventure . It is advisable to hire jeep and not take your own private vehicles .
A nature lover will surely fall in love with the magnificent beauty of this place! Mandalpatti forms a part of the natural reserves of Pushpagiri forest.
As soon as you reach the topmost point, the greenery all around will inevitably force you to click lots and lots of pictures and take all these memories along with you.
Karnataka forest department has made a top hill view point so that tourists can have a breathtaking view of the hills covered with clouds !
Being an adventure freak, I also did small small treks to see the beautiful clouds and the hills from different points.
You can also try them ! It is really amazing to feel the air ❤️
My last destination was Kote Abbi Falls
It is a Secret Treasure in Coorg !
Kotte Abbey Falls , is a Hidden Private water falls near to Mandalpatti , madikeri.
The water was clean and clear. After reaching the waterfalls you would definitely want to get into it!
Not to be confused , Abbey Falls ( famous one) and Kote Abbey Falls are different locations around Madikeri !
If you just want to feel the peace and be with less crowd then do visit this falls instead of Famous Abbey falls !
The tranquillity with the gushing sound of the falls and the chirping of birds
will break the silence ❤️
