The second city I will talk about in this series is Pune..
I was brought up in Aurangabad for quiet sometime and I needed a change to lead my life independently, as we all dream of. To fulfill that dream, I applied for an internship in one of the reputed companies of Pune and luckily I got that.
Then it was no looking back. I accepted the offer immediately and in a month's time I was in the city.
Pune was not only my karmabhumi (work place) but also a place that I wanted to explore for quite a long time now.
As Punekars say, once you come to Pune you wouldn't want to go to any other city. And this proved to be true for me.
Pune is not only an educational hub, its the cultural capital of Maharashtra and holds a lot of religious importance with one of the major tourist attractions being The Dagdusheth Halwai Temple.
The next famous thing about Pune would be its street shopping, either we talk about FC(Ferguson College) road or FS (Fashion Street). And yes how can we forget the famous Misal Pav of all the street foods that we have in Pune.
This city holds alot of historical importance as well, with one of the major forts (Sinhgad Fort), being a part of the city. And talking about forts, there's another which is listed as one of the Haunted places around, Shaniwar wada. And the best part about this fort is, it's situated in the heart of the city and the travel time to this fort is not more than 30mins.
Do you know, Pune also has an artificial city made near it? Want to have a look? Here it is, The Lavasa city, which attracts alot of tourists due to its architectural view and its ambience. You can enjoy some of the water activities over here.
And last but not the least, Pune is considered for its amazing night life and a very safer one, especially for solo travelers.
Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences around Pune.
