With a nail biting nervousness we planned our visit to Kashmir again. The last two tries had failed due to various reasons. Given the current covid situation, traveling is a sensitive process, we hoped this winter visit would be quiet and peaceful. We reached Srinagar during christmas and the entire place was bustling with tourists. Did you know winter is one of the busiest time in Kashmir?
We headed straight to the pre-paid taxi stand and went to Dal Lake. A lake as still as a rock, as glimmering as stars, with 360 degree reflection of the Zabarwan range is a sight for sore eyes. As we had not booked our stay in the houseboat in advance we had to understand how to find a good houseboat in our budget. We found a great place and spent two splendid days of calm and chaos at the same time.
