Day 1

I started travelling in 2016. I remember that day very well. It was just a morning ride for me with my Hero Splendor, according to what I said to my mom. I was not allowed to take my bike too far from home.
.
My morning ride turned out to be my first trip to Gokarna. I was not alone, I had my stupid crazy ones with me.
I can still remember the fear+ happiness I felt that day. Ya, hero Splendor was not a superbike, but we had no other option. The trip was with splendor or no trip at all. so we choose what mattered the most. And travelling mattered alot more than having a comfortable bike.
Riding till Gokarna without proper planning, without thinking twice, just taking some money with us and moving towards Gokarna was a big crazy thing I ever did. Or I can say it was just the begging of the big crazy things I was about to do in my life.
Well riding till Gokarna was fun. I was so happy just to reach there and visit every single beach in Gokarna. Well, it was not possible for us to visit every single beach, but we had high ambitions and wanted to visit all beaches in half a day. After reaching Gokarna I was quite hungry, so ate breakfast in someplace. After finishing our breakfast we started exploring the beaches of Gokarna.
I think, we went to Gokarna main beach and took some pictures, enjoyed a little time playing with water and all. After this, we moved towards kudle beach. I remember getting confused with 2 split roads and staying there thinking for some time about which way to go. No proper network so it was not possible for us to google it. We choose our way and Luckily we were on the right path. We reached kudle Beach parking and got to know that we need to trek a little to reach the beach. There were some steps which led us to the beach. We went there ,again same enjoyed the view, took some pictures, videos and sat for some time. After this om beach was near to kudle so we went to om beach. We were quite tired until this point. But still, we wanted to see it so we went to the om beach.
We still had moon beach, paradise beach to cover. But we had no more energy to visit some more places and we were running short on time.
We came back to the parking stop of om beach and we still could not decide whether to go to moon and paradise beach or just start moving towards Dharwad. we gave it a thought and just like the wolf story we read as a child where the wolf says that the grapes are sour just because it could not reach it and eat them, we did the same😂. we sat there and said: " Ah yen beach Yella beach onda togo. illeda water alle irteti" ( ah what's there to watch, all beach have the same water and looks the same) and decided to end our trip.
We were hungry ,so we ate out food and started our journey towards Dharwad ( eating in a hotel was so much easier back in those days without thinking about COVID and our safety, I wonder when those days will be back).
Here's a fact about trips which everyone might be knowing "  While Reaching the destination you are filled with so much of curiosity etc etc , which automatically gives you enough energy to survive without food and water. But after ending the trip you are just tired and want to come home and sleep peacefully". That's what our situation was. We had almost zero energy, and the road was so long. While going I did not realize that Gokarna was 158km and takes almost 4 hours to reach. It was killing us while coming back. We used to see the kms board every time and would see the KMS written on it. Trust me it was the first time I sat that long on bike and splendor seats, oh god they will kill your bum real bad.  The km was not reducing at all. It was so easy reaching Gokarna and so hard coming back from there. 4 hours journey felt like months for us. We had 5min stops just to relax our bums from pain.
Oh, one more thing I had not informed my parents about my long trip to Gokarna. I obviously lied, otherwise I would have not had my first bum paining trip to Gokarna. It was late we reached Hubli around 9 pm and again took a break to eat something.
Until this time we had 100's of missed calls from our parents. My mom was like it's already 9 pm where the hell are you, don't you have any time sense. While she was shouting I was thinking in my head that " Mom you are talking about time sense, I think my bum does not sense anything at all"...
We reached Dharwad at 10 pm, we had started our journey around 6 am early in morning. So it was almost 16 hours of riding and exploring n etc for me. I came home and my mom was like " what the hell happened to you". I saw my face in the mirror, it was all dusty, tanned and my hair was much worst. I looked like a homeless person. I looked like someone who lived in the forest for days. Then I told my mom that I had been to Gokarna and she was again shocked. She had so many questions for me, like how? why? and am I crazy? It was a bigger deal in my home because no one went to a trip like this before in my whole family. My papa was in Germany with my sister and my mom called him and said " your daughter took your splendor to Gokarna without telling me".He was not shocked, He started laughing. He said "How can she go that far, that too with that bike, and come back within one day" . They digested it slowly 😂. It was kind of an achievement for me that day. My mom was kind of proud of me. Atleast I assumed she was, because she was telling my niece that "see your chikk went to a long trip, which no one in our family did before".
I was happy listings to that😉. My body pains went after a good sleep that day.I can say that it was worth it. Every pain was worth it.When I saw my family shocked and when I did what I wanted, I was happy.
From that day my mother kind of started trusting me with my riding skills and after that day bike trips became common for me. All trips were common for me and my family. My parents don't ask much when I say I am going on a trip. They are like earn your money and go. After so many trips, they trust me. They know that,I will not do anything stupid and I Will be safe as much as possible. And that's why I get permission for all my trips.
And That's how I started travelling.
