Start your day early from Mumbai by 6 am, Thane by 7 am or Kalyan by 8 am to reach Malahej Ghat by road.
Plan to have breakfast at Malshej Resort or any local stall on the way. Malshej is at its best in rainy season with lots n lots of waterfalls but it is equally mesmerizing in winters with Fog and geeenary around ghats.
Stop your vehicle at multiple view points and click picture or lay your mat on green patches and laze around.
Leave malshej around 10.30 am to reach Shivneri fort which is at 1 hour driving distance. Or else plan to have early lunch at Malshej by 12 and leave for Shivneri
There are few local eateries near fort where they prepare lunch for you once you order or one can eat from ready available Thalis.
This place has significant historic importance. It is the birth place of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The birth room and fort is well preserved. It will easily take around 2 years to explore fort completely.
Leave in evening by 4 pm maximum as it gets really dark and foggy in malshej ghat by sunset time.
