We were at The Retreat last tow days for our anniversary celebration. This is the resort where the popular song 'What is mobile number' was shot. We loved staying here. However, here are some great and not-so-great points :
GREAT :
Service : The staff here is very attentive and courteous
Cleanliness : Rooms and premises are very clean and very nicely maintained.
Huge pool : The pool is huge, we stayed in the pool-view room and it was superb
NOT so great :
1. We paid about 17000 for 2 nights with breakfast. However, the hotel charging such tariff [claiming a 5-star rating] charges 500 rupees per day for Wi-Fi.
2. The restaurant menu is limited. Also, when we ordered for Pizza, they said that Pizza was not available. This is not expected of a 5-star rating hotel.
3. They have 2 restaurants - Tangerine and Oriental bowl. Liquor is served only in Oriental Bowl restaurant that serves Chinese. So, if you want to have liquor with your food, you HAVE TO EAT chinese and CANT EAT any other cuisine.
Otherwise, this hotel is great to stay for Mumbaikars too
