Hey Bird! Got My Wings Today :) #traveladventure2019

Year 2019 is full of travel memories, I have been to almost 20 plus states across India. But a adventure travel thrills me and made my year a great one. Going to Bir Billing was one of my best decision of this year, witnessing something magical that can't be expressed in words. As they say, free like a bird but to become a bird one has to make a decision that if not now then when !!!!

Trek upto fly zone

Butterflies in my stomach go crazy, it was true in this case. To jump off the mountain one need to climb up to the fly zone spot first. So from the mainland, you need to trek up to the jump zone or a jeep ride of 15-20 mins. I was too excited and at the same time a bit nervous.
About after 10-15 minutes of jeep ride, finally reached the launch spot. There were other paragliders launching off, I was all set to fly in few minutes.

Ready for the flight of lifetime !

After got a short briefing and explanation then got geared up and strapped to the parachute and the instructor. Mind was blank at that moment, still no clues how i will manage to take off or will the jump work.

At the edge of cliff

Standing at the edge of the mountain and looking down the world was an experience hard to explain in words.
Though taking off was much easier than I thought! Just a few steps running down the hill and in the air! Hieppeeeee, hey bird! Got my wings today !!! - I shouted.

15 mins in the air- journey of lifetime

With the force of the wind, admiring the mountains around us and the houses beneath. It was a magnificent view and a very exciting experience to be so high up in the sky. The world felt tiny and the sky was the limit. Thrilling!!!

During the flight had a chit chat with the glider about how long he is flying, from where is he trained etc. He taught me some techniques too and let me drive. It was a short paragliding learning session for me up in the air.

Furthermore, the glider started some stunts in the air.  It felt like being on a rollercoaster, but better! It was so much fun!

Landed safely

Then we started to come down, slowly. The way to land for paragliding is similar to take off. And finally landed safely with both feet on the ground.

I was speechless, reminded me of ZNMD !
