This Valentine's Day, Gorge with Bae at these Insta-Worthy Cafe's in Delhi's Lodhi Colony

Lodhi Colony is housed in a beautiful location in Central Delhi. It is one of the most perfect locales in Delhi to plan a date. Strolling about hand in hand at Lodhi Garden on a sunny winter morning and admiring the ducks at the pond, or the stately tombs now standing in ruins. Walking through the streets of Lodi Art District, in search of that perfect DP. Paying a visit to Safdarjung's Tomb or Humayun's Tomb in the vicinity. Or an afternoon at India Habitat Centre with an art exhibition.

Whatever your plans, the delectable food and ambience at these hidden cafe's in Lodhi Colony will definitely be the highlight of your special day!

1. GUPPY

Tucked in the sleepy bylanes, Guppy is sure to transport you back to your childhood. Offering complete Japanese cuisine, the interiors are Anime inspired and look too cute for words. It is done up in pastel shades, and the photos you capture here will stay with you. Coming to the menu, their Miso soup is a staple, along with sushi rolls( we had California roll). The Pork Belly and Ramen bowls are also highly recommended.

2. PING's CAFE ORIENT

Ping's Café Orient is sure to transport you to the streets of Bangkok. It's offering is street style Pan Asian cuisine, and its décor matches its offering. With huge mirrors, old style switches to 'ping' the staff, low lighting, and even clothes hung on a clothesline, the images of this place will stay with you for a long time. It's the perfect place to get a quirky pic clicked. The food is lip smacking whether its the baos, the pad Thai noodles, the Thai curry or anything else you order from their menu. Our favorite from the menu was their Chicken Teriyaki Bao.

3. ELMA's BRASSERIE

This is a bakery and café. For those with a sweet tooth, Elma's is the place to go! They are known for their breakfast options. The Red Velvet cake here is to die for! If you are in the mood for some sandwiches, mezze platter, Grilled steaks or light snacks, this place is an amazing option.

4. JAMUN

From Walls to Napkins to Menus, Jamun is all things purple. If purple is a favorite with you or your Bae, and you like regional Indian food(with a twist), then Jamun is where you should head to. We swear by their Ratalu ki tikki and Jamun Butter Chicken, but the menu features specialties from Bengal, Rajasthan, Punjab, Maharashtra, Karnataka and many other states. So you can go here to discover our vast culinary heritage as well!

5. Tres

Tres offers a gourmet European spread. If you are looking for something a little more upscale, then Tres would probably fit the bill. Here you can find exotic varieties of pizzas, pastas, sandwiches and other sides to fulfill your cravings.
