Day 1

This day i started my trip towards kerla for a month and i was fully happy for it. My jounrey strarted from " koovagam transgenders festival" where all the transgenders and homosexual meet a place and celebrate the festival of  the God Aaravan. I started my jounrey from bangalore to villapuram from a bus by the night time and i got  down 6:00 am in villapuram and i took a bus towards the festival everyone is going to festival and i reached, iam doing a documentry on transgenders festival i came here on a project and i did it. Met many people in the festival ground, it took 30 min  to walk into the village due to festival buses dont enter into village  so stoped before 3kms so walking is healthy and reached there, everywhere transgenders  and playing some rituals to god aaravan on the streets with  burning the karpuram (camphor).i was in the temple and seeing many things that couldnt happen ever time seeing such things i was pretty happy about doing  a documentry on the festival, everyone wearing mangalasuthram i dont know why even kids are wearing it. Actually if the mangalasuthram wears then its like the got married, but here small kids and mens and womens transgenders everyone is wearing it. i was suprised by seeing it and felt fun too,
I went directly to a group of people who was doing some rituals with a girl child.
A  transgender was doing the rituals to the girl and tied mangalasuthram to the 8 years girl child and she says "its about the distroy  of the bad and bad spirits  from the people and gives the them  awakeness to the life  and a blissful and safe life from the God Aaravan.  Day went very well and i was there  for the rathaochav of Aaravan, it was crazy and its about 50 feets height vigraham ( idol)  going around the village and goes back to a place where they separate the body parts of the idol and throughs to different directions the head goes to east side and legs to west and body part to south like that they celebrate the festival, and here the transgenders becomes widow, the can get married only for one day to god aaravan, next day they become widows.
This day itself  i went back to villapuram and catched a train which goes to the Dead End part of  india Kanyakymari.
