This trick will save you money on flight booking

Hi everyone

Earlier i used to book my flight tickets through goibibo or makemytrip with refundable option but i am telling you the truth, even with refundable booking these vendors do charge a fixed amount plus the air carrier company also charges their fixed amount which adds up to more than half the booking amount. The same scenario is also encountered on flight cancellation from the carrier end, which puts you in major loss.

Few months back, I bumped into easemytrip website where you can take cancellation insurance on your flight booking and in case you cancel your booking, the entire booking amount is refunded back to you( no hidden charges involved). It is only the cancellation insurance charge that you bear which is very nominal i.e. approx INR 950. I am telling you this amount is nothing in comparison to the reduced amount you get back as refund.

It is the current COVID situation which made me book through this website as i was booking my flights way in advance because of availability at cheaper price and there has been scenarios where i needed to cancel my flight due to change in government rules in my current or destination city.
