Uttrakhand has everything to offer for all its tourist. Where Rishikesh, Haridwar, Dehradun, Mussorie and Nainital are best known places of Uttrakhand you may not wish to miss other places as well
Where Nainital is most prominent place for couples, other Tal Bhimtal, Sattal, Naukchiatal also can be explored in one go. With a right planning one can cover all the Tal.(Refer Map).
We started early morning from Dehradun and by 1230pm we were at Bhimtal. we did not found any traffic on road.
One can add Mukteshwar in their travel list. Mukteshwar and Chauli ki Jalli an emerging destination among travelers and this place is only 45 km ahead from Nainital city. One can easily get hotels there or in 5km radius of Mukteshwar. I chose to stay at Tathastu Resort,Bhatelia. Where Nainital is all packed with Tourist, Mukteshwar still got local traces whether it is houses/shops or localities. While you are here you can explore Bhalugad and Dhokaney Waterfall. Tip: Ask localities not Google.
Next on list Chitai Golu Devta. Why I opted for this destination bacause of the stories associated to this temple. Have you ever imagined to write a letter to God? If the answer is YES, now it is your turn to write a letter to God. Pick up a pen and start writing, plan your visit to Chitai Golu Devta and give letter to God. Due to some reason if you cannot plan, no worries, you can even post your letter here. To witness this just come here you will see all the letters pinned up there. Tip - This temple is in Almora and Almora is famous for its Baal Mithai Chocolate Mithai and you can see a lot of sweet shops sellng there. It is a must buy.
Jageshwar Dham is next must visit place, it is said this place got over 100 small, tiny temple in one place. However not to miss, this place is UNESCO site. You are not gonna regret coming to this place. This place has got a blinding beauty. Surrounded by dense forest Oak, Pine, Deodar it is a sight to catch. “Walk into the woods” this is perfect phrase for this. This place is 45 km ahead of Chital Golu Devta,Almora.
Almora-bageshwar-Gwaldam-Karnprayag to Kartikswami
Next Destination on list is Kartikswami this place now emerging among trekkers. 40km From Karnprayag and Rudrprayg and you won’t find any Direction Board for this place. If you plan to be here, ask for “Pokhri Village”. Easy trek of 3km covered entirely by Buransh Tree only. While you enjoy trekking to this place you gonna struck by the scenery from the main temple “Stairs to Heaven”. Kartikswami temple dedicated to Lord Kartik and it is said that Lord Kartik offered his bones to his parents and which are placed here.
It was 3 day and 4 night trip and we drove 1000km. Make sure you have enough cash and Petrol. Overall Journey was great, there were no such moment where I felt like Bored.
