Stories of the Travelling Trio!!

(It's 5 pm - sun's getting ready to set in, closing time for palaces, traffic increases and the travelling trio is on their way to their next place)

Traveler 1 - Hey, he will be passing by Hawa Mahal right, ask him to stop there for few minutes na, we haven't taken proper photos.

Traveler 2 - Bhaiya, who zara Hawa Mahal ke saamne dho minute rokhna.

( Translation - Brother, stop near the Hawa mahal for 2 minutes pls)

Autowaala - Haan didi, par jaldi kijiyega, police waale zyaada der rukhne nahi denge, shaam ka traffic ka waqt hai.

(Translation - Yes sister, but do come fast as it's evening traffic time and the police would not allow to stay long)

Traveler 3rd - Thike Bhaiya! (Ok brother)

(Auto stops at the corner of the lane, exactly opposite to the Mahal. Its evening chai time as you can smell ginger and chai patti boiling in water and hear the crackling of oil as the battered bread gently slides in to be fried as pakodas. Dedhso ke dho, dedhso ke dho ( 2 for 150) the vendor next shop shouts with small relics in his hand to the public. Amidst the crowd, Traveler 3 takes her phone and climbs upstairs a café where she finds the perfect spot to capture the Mahal. Traveler 1 walks a little further where it is not crowded as it gives a better view. Traveler 2 fiddles with her phone as the lighting is not proper to take a snap.)

Autowaala - Dekha jaaye na didi, hai toh yeh saari choti khidkiyaan, par us samay ki banavat dekhiye, isiliye hai yeh itna mashoor. Par kya hai ise thoda maintain karna chahiya. Itna duniya bar se log aate hain, pehle jaisa chamak hi nahi hai dekho. Aap toh pehli baar aaye hain na, hum toh yehin hain isiliye pata hai. Par aap logon ko raat me bhi aake ek baar dekhna chahiye. Woh light vagera jab jalta hai na toh raat me andhere me aisa acha dikhta.

(If you see these are only windows but it is the make of the monument that makes it so special but yes it needs to be maintained. People from all over the world come in view this place. You have come here for the first time but I have been here so we know but you should also visit once a t night when its dark. With all the lights it looks great)

Traveler 2 - Acha bhaiya, zaroor! (Sure, brother)

(Though we may know many things about the city, still you can make a difference when the localite tells you with such passion yahaan par yeh hai, wahaan par woh hai, aap yahaan se yeh le sakte ho, wahaan pe zaroor jaana and all that not just because you are a tourist but it's his city that he is talking about and he knows it very well)

Autowaala - Ab chalna chahiye didi, traffic badh jaayega aur aage.

Traveler 2 - Guyss!!! Let's go.

Traveler 3 - Yep, coming coming.
