We got flight ticket for 19700 INR for all 3 of us for up and down to Malaysia from Visakhapatnam.
We arrived at KLIA2 early morning at 4:30am and caught star shuttle bus to Pudu Sentral. Our stay was at Hotel China Town Inn located at petaling street. This was an amazing place with Indian restaurants, bus hub and LRT station within few 100 meters.
As we had lost some night due to time zone difference we took some rest before our first visit to the Petronas Twin Tower and suriya KLCC.

Go KL surfing
There’s no better way to explore the entire city than in GO KL bus service, which is a free service available at Kuala Lumpur city and has 4 lanes as shown above. This air conditioned bus service has free wifi too. We visited Bricksfield (Little India) , Katsuri Walk (central market), Bukit Bintang, Pavilion and petaling street night market where one can find anything and everything.
We dedicated this day to genting and it was simply beautiful especially the sky cab experience to highlands. Chin Swee cave temple in the second level is must visit. You will get cheap tickets to genting from pudu Sentral @ 5 MYR one way, but do make sure to reach early to experience the misty mountains.
Batu Caves
We took LRT from Pasar Seni near China Town and KTM from KL Sentral to Batu Caves, it was a beautiful sight. We did not choose to go up to the caves as we had to leave towards Penang. We took KTM from bath cave to TBS and a bus to Penang Island. Remember, KTM will only take us till Butterworth which is at the mainland away from island. So bus is always a cheaper option that even takes us into island through Penang Bridge.
This place has become one of my favourites. And there’s free bus service here too called as CAT ( congestion alleviation transport) which takes use around Georgetown for free and even the other regions has specific CAT bus routes, it’s an amazing news for back packers especially.
Kek Lok si being south east asia’s largest Buddhist temple was the reason for my visit to Penang.
We took free ferry from Penang Island to Butterworth (Penang Sentral) and a bus to Kuala Perlis. From here we took another ferry which is a catamaran to Langkawi Island.
We visited Sky Cab, oriental village and seven wells water falls. These are at close proximity. It was around 700 steps uphill till seven wells. And Pantai Chenang beach.
We visited the eagle square, legends park and Pantai tanjung beach on our last evening at Langkawi Island. One thing to note here is there is no public transport here hence grab cab will be the best option if you are visiting this island as family.
We flew at 200 INR from langkawi to KL
Before starting towards India we visited KL to cover all those lanes which were not explored through GO KL bus service. My parents really had an amazing time visiting Malaysia.
