My route to Kanger valley was via Gunderdehi -Dhamtari- Keshkal road. Before exploring Kanger I planned to visit Chitrakoot fall once again, so I took right turn from Bhanpuri towards Chitrakote waterfall, 33 km of under repaire road. On the way, Gunderdehi to Dhamtari, the green paddy fields on both side of the road filled my heart with great peace and joy. Few flower loaded trees of SEMAL (they bloom once during this season only, some 20-30 years back village people used to make colour for celebrating HOLI by boiling these flowers with water).
As we reached at Chitrkote fall, we took a boat ride , reached near the fall, experienced the power of fall which was falling with great roar. We completely soaked by the tiny droplets of the fall.
We stayed at DANDAMI resort, run by cg tourism board. It is nice place to stay. Food is good. You should ask to give them coffee cattle , coffee and sugar, if you are interested to take coffee in the morning.
Next day, we started for KANGER DHARA, KUTUMSAR CAVES and TEERATHGARH WATERFALL. The schedule for booking for Kutumsar caves (includes Kanger dhara) by MARUTI JIPSY (managed by Forest deptt) is 8am to 2 pm. It is life time experience to go under the approximately 100 ft caves which is approximately 300 matra long.
