what are the Hotspots of SGNP

Kanheri caves

The caves here are of Buddhist origins and are made by Buddhist monks for prayer hall, preaching and for resting. There are many Buddha statues inside the caves and there are around 100+ Caves.

• Tiger and Lion Safari

The tiger and Lion Safari zone is not actually that much excited than it sounds, the lions and tigers are in captivity and can only be seen in distant. Most of them are always seen sleeping, but if you are lucky enough, you would find them Roaring or in their cheerful mode.

From borivali station east to National Park options:

1) Auto-rickshaws – Rs. 18-20.

2) BEST buses – up to Rs. 10

3) By walk – 15-20 mins

Entry ticket for National Park:

1) Rs. 48 – Rs. 53 for adults

2) Rs. 28 for child

From National Park entrance to Kanheri caves options:

1) Buses – Rs. 60 approx. – less frequency

2) Mini van – Rs. 50 – high frequency faster service

Entry ticket for Kanheri caves

Rs. 15 per person – Indians

Rs. 1000 per person – Foreigners

Other services from National Park entrance: 1) Bicycles – Rs. 80 for 2 hrs
