UTTRAKHAND state offers many aspects of enjoyment. It's capital Dehradun itself is an amazing tourists hub with many beautiful spots in its kitty . One of them is Robber's cave. Robber's Cave (locally known as Guchhupani) is a natural cave river formation. U'll simply love the flowing river in the middle of the caves. This cave is approx 8 km away from the Dehradoon Main Bus stand.Local bus services are available up to Anarwala , from where it is 1 kilometre's trek away. For the last 10 years I'm regular visitor of this beautiful place.
Acording to local people's The cave was used as a hideout by robbers under British rule, which is why it came to be known as robber's Cave. There is nominal fee charged for visiting this place..during peak season(25₹-35₹). Robbers Cave is open all days of week, but Saturday and Sunday are very crowded days. The timings of the cave is 7 A.M to 6 P.M.
The cave is filled with ankle length water levels, so carry slippers with .But if you forget to bring the slippers, you can borrow them for only 10₹ from local shops and then return.
Robber’s Cave is a narrow gorge which is formed with conglomerate limestone. The inside of the cave is dark which actually contributes to the thrill quotient of this space. The entire ambience might make you feel that you are a part of a mystery movie. Dark limestone at both sides . After walking through the river stream in the end, you will see a 10-m high waterfall.
Don’t go in tourist Rush time.. You can spend peace and Harmonious time there..To enjoy it with full potential, you should plan with family and friends or simply enjoy the mesmerizing beauty of this rustic wonder.
