"Some experiences remind you of who you really are and this story is about one such experience in my Life"
In February 2021, I was on a roadtrip in my Thar to Gujarat from Pune, Maharashtra with one of my friend. One of the destination was unravelling the untraveled "Ekal Rann of Kutch" also known as "Chota (छोटा) Kutch". As I drove my Thar into the vast incessant land with, white terrain and water at a distance, clear blue sky during the sunset, I was not only spellbound but got emotional too. And we were just two people and My Thar in that unending Vastness. Ekal Rann is located just before Bhuj and Rann of Kutch. Located in the same area this place is small version of Rann of Kutch and not that famous( don't know why) but its very known with locals who visit the Ekal Mata Mandir located just at the beginning of Ekal Rann. There is also a very basic Ashram at the premises of Mandir which is available for your stay, if u wish to do so. Since I had already booked my stay over at Bhuj, skipped staying here. But if u are comfortable with a very basic Ashram room and wanna wake by the side of Rann this could be a great experience too.
My Thar actually got stuck into the Marshy Sand (we all know the condition of rann: its known in Hindi as दलदल.) Cleared the tyres, tried 4*4 but since it was already rotating in place it needed a little grip and push to come out of it. In Rann, I couldn't find anything even at a distance. Finally we found 2 stones, placed it behind the back wheels. ... Put the Thar in 4*4 and the reverse gear worked wonders😍. We were lucky there were at the same time 4 more visitors who encouraged me.
What I loved about this experience was it taught me, if I ever get stuck alone anywhere, my confidence wouldn't deteriorate, because even in this situation it didn't. No wonder having a Thar and the power it bestows me with, doubles my confidence.
