It was my first winter trek and I was well prepared. But as Himalayas are unpredictable weather changes before you blink. We reached kotgaon a Beautiful village at 6500fts above sea level near yamunotri.
Early morning we started Trekking towards our first campsite whose name is Khujey it is at an altitude of 9395 fts. We started by 8 am and reached Khujey by 3pm it was a tiring day but we were more into enjoying the beauty of fairy land.
As it was snowing continuously it was impossible for us to reach the second campsite. Thus our trek leader decide that we will head back towards our base camp. On other hand we were ecstatic by seeing the beauty of campsite. Here are the glimpse of our campsite.
As it rightly said it's not about destination its all about the journey and the time you spend with your companions. Back journey from Khujey to kotgaon was heartbreaking but still we were happy that we survived through extreme conditions.
