With few sightseeing halts in between and a breakfast munch, we reached Chintpurni Temple at around 12 noon. The atmosphere around the temple was mesmerizing. According to legend, the head of Devi Sati fell at this place and is thus considered one of the most important of the 51 Shakti Peeths. Rush would be more on a weekend, so plan your darshan on a week days, if possible.

Due to weekend, it took us 2 hrs. to complete the darshan. After seeking darshan, we had our lunch at 'Amritsari Dhaba' located in the vicinity of the Temple. Service and food was good in budget friendly price. After our lunch, we headed towards 'Jwalaji' temple which is 35 km and took us an hr. to reach there.

Jwalaji, as the name suggest depicts the goddess 'Jwala' in the form of 'Agni' or flames. As per the legends, the tongue of Devi Sati fell here and manifested in the form of flames. After seeking blessings from the goddess, we decided to stay in the hotel overnight.

Day 2

Next morning, we drove towards Mata BaglaMukhi temple, which is 23 Km from Jwalaji. BaglaMukhi temple belongs to the era of pandavas and has great mythical importance. Temple is painted vibrantly in yellow color. You can get a havan conducted here, which takes around 45 min. It is believed that the pujas performed at this temple are extremely powerful and removes the negative energy around you.

After BaglaMukhi darshan, we headed towards the next Shaktipeeth - Shri Bajreshwari Devi Temple (also known as VajyraYogini) in Kangra. She is also the incarnation of Parvati. After seeking blessing from the goddess, we went to Chamunda Devi, which is 25 km further.

Chamunda Devi temple is dedicated to the wrathful form of Goddess Durga or Chamunda. It is situated amid lush green mountains which offers a nice panoramic view of the majestic serene surroundings. Monkeys are prevalent near temples, so beware of your belongings.

After completing the darshan, we helped ourself with some spicy food and Tea at the nearby Abhinandan hotel. After our late evening snack, we headed back to Amritsar with wonderful memories and positivity.

Total cost of trip (fuel + stay + food) is roughly 1500/person.
