When we talk about Uttrakhand people normally think about some popular spot like mussourie, nanital, haridwar, Rishikesh , auli, ranikhet, etc.  but Uttrakhand is more than that

1 ---( Yamnotri ) the origin of river yamuna

2 ---( Gangotri & Gomukh) the place from where river ganga starts its journey

3 --- ( Kedarnath )  its one of important & popular shiva temple. Its also one of the amongst 12 jyotirling of shiva.

4 ---- ( Badrinath )  no need to any introduction.
This temple belong to Lord vishnu. This temple is sacred & important for Hindus

Here about some very important places I wanna mention . Apart from Kedarnath there are some other shiva temple also people love to go. Kedarnath is one the part of PANCH KEDAR.
THE PANCH KEDAR ARE AS FOLLOWS

1 --- KEDARNATH
2 --- TUNGNATH
3 --- RUDRANATH
4 --- MADHMAHESWAR
5 --- KALPESHWAR

These five temple belong to Lord shiva & every year so many devotees come and offer their prayers to Lord shiva. In these 5 temples  the tungnath temple is Lord shiva, s highest altitude temple in the world around 3500 meters from sea level.

Here wanna share the story of India, s one of the most sacred river ganga. It's not just a river
Hindu consider ganga as a goddess. here in Uttrakhand we can see & understand how this beautiful river formed. like panch kedar concept here panch prayag also exist. Prayag means Confluance
Here at 5 point you can see how the river ganga forms into a big river.

Panch (5) prayag are as follows

1 --- DEVPRAYAG....
2 ---KARNPRAYAG...
3 --- RUDRAPRAYAG...
4 --- NANDPRAYAG...
5 --- VISHNUPRAYAG...

where two or more than two stream come together at a point. That place reffer as a prayag. In Hindu mythology prayag is a holy point.  Here in Uttrakhand there are 5 holy prayag exist . After all these prayag the river ganga become ganga.
Ganga starts its journey from gangotri ( Uttrakhand) to gangasagar ( west Bengal )  its not just a regular river. Its one of the longest river in our country.
Uttrakhand is home of Himalaya & famous river like yamuna & ganga. Devotion in its veins. Home of beautiful temple. Which fill your souls. at every step you will find something beautiful in Uttrakhand.
Because of these sacred temples Uttrakhand reffer as a DEVBHOOMI.. the land of gods.
