So it was night of 14th September, I was doing my night shift as usual and one of my junior ( Pankaj ) approached me asked about Ladakh trip. I nodded my head in positive as we both were discussing about Ladakh few days back. When I nodded my head he said," So we are going on 17th september" I raised my head and asked me are you serious ? we need approval of our leaves and all. He said that approval of leaves is mine headache, his role was to just plan everything and modify the bikes. I called one of my senior ( Shanu ) and asked him to join this trip. He got agree , and he should afterall Ladakh was our dream trip. So we left Delhi at 2:00 Am and our first target was to take our 1st stay at Patnitop ( 661Kms ). I was riding my INS vikrant, Shanu was riding Activa 125 and Pankaj was riding Honda Xblade. In first we were taking frequent halts but when we realised that its 6:00 Am now and we have only covered 170 kms then, we pulled up our socks. So, after stretching our body , somehow we managed to ride till Srinagar (270kms) . Now I was not in good mood as we have encountered with lot of problems while entering Srinagar, My bike got puctured and there was no one to help me, I rode 80 kms with punctured tyre. We reached Srinagar by 8:00 Pm.

It was Muharram, Government of J&K had issued ACT 144 and Curfew too. We started to ride by 10:00 Am after fixing my puncture and the Zojila Pass ( 11680Ft) had taken our lives by making us tired, we were riding at such a height but on sand and pebbles instead of roads, somehow we reached Kargil . Note please do wear your woolen clothes after Zojila as you will cross Drass ( second inhabited coldest place in world) to reach Kargil ( 202 Kms ). We reached Kargil at 8:00 PM and we slept without food as there was curfew and no shops were opened.
