Deepal Tal | Beautiful lake enroute to Leh

A magnificent, scenic lake located on the Manali-Leh route, 20 kilometres from Jispa and 43 kilometres from Keylong, it is one of two lakes seen on the way to the Baralacha La Pass, Suraj Tal in the Lahaul area. It has pure water with a blue tinge to it.

The lake is situated at an elevation of 3750 metres. During the monsoon season, it is filled with glacier melts and entirely freezes in the winter. It is spotless and has cold water. It is surrounded by mountains and makes a beautiful stopover where one may snap stunning photographs. Stop here after the Darcha camp and around Patsio for a bit.
