Kurukshetra is a place of great historical and religious importance, revered all over the country for its sacred association with the Vedas and the Vedic Culture. It was here that the battle of Mahabharat was fought and Lord Krishna preached His Philosophy of 'KARMA' as enshrined in the Holy Bhagwad-Gita, to Arjuna at Jyotisar
I happen to land in this place for my friends wedding!!! But I was very determined to escape for few hours n visit this city for its significance in our history!!! Since this was a reunion for most of us, people were little occupied with gossiping and refreshing the good old days of post graduation college which most of us were missing bcoz of our daily hectic life in our own concrete jungle. People were tired as the night before wedding was sangeet night n we leave no stone unturned in draining ourselves out of energy left after long distance travel. But being determined I was able to gather few friends to visit the important places We booked ola cab for our detour as the distance between the must visit places were minimal and the cab rates was not much to bother. We reached the first destination in five minutes called Brahm Sarovar. As none of us ever googled what brahm sarovar was, we were pleased by the sight of it. Sometimes surprise really surprises you... We were content that we stepped outside and we're fortunate enough to see the infinite water body amidst which is shiv mandir was constructed giving a beautiful setup Before entering the gate of this sarovar we were least expecting this as the city of too compact in housing context!!! We then headed to the west side of mandir where the grand statue of Krishna and Arjuna was placed
