Day trip to the smallest and the richest country ~ Vatican

Into the history, home to the pope, owner of impressive collections of arts and a renowned architectural example of boroque, yes you guessed it right Vatican it is. Built on the memory of the first pope, Pope San Pietro, Basilica di San Pietro still encourages thousands of travellers a day. Today about hundreds of swiss soldiers still protect the Pope and wear the flamboyant renaissance style uniform that tourists love to photograph. Over the centuries the popes have collected enough art to fill what many considers as the Europe's most richest museum. Long halls are beautifully decorated with precious tepestries, frescoed ceilings and ancient status. Its exquisite painting gallery includes Raphael's much loved painting of transfiguration, halls and courtyards are littered with ancient greek masterpieces like Loacoon, so inspirational to the masters of the renaissance. The Popes appartment tell Christian history about a battle where Emperor Constantine was led by angels and a holy cross both to a key military victory and religious conversions. Finally the spiral stairs of Vatican Museum forming a fibonacci sequence added another beautiful feather to the crown. This was some real experience to remember in my life.
