Dassam Falls is situated at 34 km from Ranchi city on Ranch-Tata road. The major water source of this waterfall is River Kachni, which falls here from an altitude of 144 feet.
The unique feature of this fall is that when the waterfall is seen, 10 water streams are also seen falling. The sound of water echoes all around the place.
It is a very nice place amidst the nature. I had planned a spontaneous lunch picnic to this place and it turned out to be just AMAZING.
The drive to the waterfall is good. Roads are well-maintained and traffic is also minimal.
We had climb down few steps to reach the waterfall. There is ample space around the waterfall so you wouldn't feel too cramped.
We even did little bit of trekking by going behind the waterfall. The trekking is a bit risky. So please be careful. Also, in some places it's very difficult to cross the boulders.
A perfect spot for picnic with the cold breeze, chilling water in bright sunshine, and a lot of people enjoying!
