I've pen down the budget friendly North Goa trip that will guide you to explore the historical Fort Aguada, Ancient Portuguese construction Reis Magos Fort, and exotic beaches that people from around the world would love to a be part of- Baga, Calangute, Anguna, Vagator and Arambol beaches that are known for the bustling tourists throughout the year.
In this post I will provide all the necessary information like the timings, entry fee, how to reach and best time to visit to these Tourist attractions in North Goa.
Location 1: Fort Aguada
Timings: 9am to 6pm
Entry fee: 25 INR
Build in 1612, this historical Portuguese fort offers a breathtaking views of the Arabian sea from the top. One can find the Tower and a lighthouse at the top and the entry to it would cost 20 INR. This fort was built by Portuguese viceroy Ruy Tavara and used to be the first line of defense against the dutches and Marathas who wanted to conquer the place. "Aguada" Meaning "Watering place" in Portuguese, it used to provide water supply to the ships passing by the coast lines back in 16th century through a freshwater springs inside the fort. Best time to visit is throughout the year.
Location 2: Reis Magos Fort
Timings: 9:30AM to 5:30PM
Entry fee: 50 INR
Camera: 250 INR
This ancient fort is located near to Candolim, North Goa area. It was built by the Portuguese personal Alfonso de Albuquerque in 1550's and was used a first line of defense against the enemies who wanted to cross the mandovi River and conquer old Goa. Best time is visit is during winters and monsoons.
Location 3: Fort Chapora
Timings: 9 - 5:30PM
Entry fee: zero
This ancient fort was built by Bijapur Dynasty ruler Adil Shah and was previously called as Shahpura. The Portuguese renamed it as Chapora during their rule. The fort offers a beautiful sunset over the Arabian sea and became famous after a few scenes from a Bollywood Hit Movie "Dil Chahta Hai" was shot. It is photogenic and offers a splendid opportunity to capture some great photos for your social media feeds and to your personal memory. Best time to visit - winters and monsoons.
Location 4: Sinquerim Beach
Best time to visit: Monsoons and Winters
Located right below the aguada fort, the sinquerim sunset point offers a breathtaking views of the ocean and is secluded compared to other beaches in North Goa. One can enjoy the cool breeze and sounds of the waves crushing over the rocks while the sun is setting down at the golden hour giving the experience of a lifetime.
Location 5: Anjuna Beach
Best time to visit: Throughout the year
The exotic beach vibes, the sounds of the waves on one side and the rock beats from the shacks on other side makes this a perfect hangout place post sunset. There's a famous Flea market which is open to everyone only on Wednesdays if you wish to buy some souvenirs right at the beach. Don't forget to take back some memories with you.
Location 6: Calangute/Baga Beach
The Goa trip would be incomplete if you don't consider visiting these must visit landmark places in North Goa for what these places offer you.

How to visit Goa:
1. By Train :- Goa is well connected to major cities in India like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Reach Margao or Vasco da gama Railway Station and take a bus or taxi or even rental bike and drive to North Goa destinations.
2. By Road :- Reach Margao or Panjim Central Bus stand and take a bus/taxi/rental bike to reach north Goa.
3. By Air:- The International Airport of Goa in Dabolim is easiest way to reach Goa from domestic or International cities. Once you touch down at the Goa Airport either take a Bus/Taxi to panjim and follow point 1/2.
