Anise also known as aniseed; the name ANISE has been derived out of this spice. The interior of this place is the real example of five elements of nature: Fire, Earth, Air, Water and Metal.
The entrance has four fire mashal's which gives the real aura of palacio. Further there is a pleasing water shower and in front of which is a enlightening bar counter. The spacious location, winter-y cold nights, delicate flora and the fine dining extravagance; this place surely takes you away in some dreamland.
Indian cuisine with the touch of open surroundings, mystical fire places and accompanying you is soft & classical Indian music. This place gives you all. Apart from luscious food, you can also relish hukka here.
The North Indian food served here has something unique and gives you severe food-gasm.
Roomali Paneer Tikka- Thick layer of cottage cheese rolled up and stuffed with green chutney, cheese, overnight marinated with fennel & mace and cooked in clay oven. The combination of cottage cheese and cheese is everlasting. The freshly prepared dish with the soothing fragrance is what made me to have more of it.
Anise ki Khaas Galawat- Seasonal vegetables galettes flavored with clove & cardamom and cooked on the grill. This 'melting-in-the-mouth' is definitely the best here; crispy outside and delicate inside. It is served with green chutney.
Tandoori Ratan- This tandoori platter does not serve you cottage cheese instead it serves you grilled pineapple, red & yellow bell pepper, mushroom, broccoli; marinated with yogurt. Grilled pineapple does look appealing and while grilling, the top glaze of it caramelizes, thus making it taste more appealing. Pineapples doesn't taste gooey like other grilled fruits, indeed it soothes your soul. The platter is served with different sauces.
Dal Makhani- Black lentils slow cooked overnight with butter in copper urn. The traditional process to prepare dal makhani takes upto twenty-four hours. But now it is more easier to make. But the taste, richness and consistency can only be achieved by practice and the chefs here truly proved it. The pleasant redolence was enough to have it whole heart-edly. ( Add more cream to get more richness.)
Paneer Shabnami is another great creation here. Stuffed cottage cheese rolls flavored with cumin & chili, cooked in onion tomato masala and finished with cream. The blending of spices and cooking at low flame gives it the required texture.
Vegetable Dum Biryani- Aged basmati rice cooked with vegetables, brown onion & saffron, finished with ghee and topped with coriander. The perfect spices and the perfect ambrosial is what all this dish requires.
Motichoor Cheesecake- Cheesecake stuffed with Indian motichoor laddoos. The base here is made up of motichoor laddoo and top is cheesecake with drizzled chocolate sauce. The sweet and hint of sour overtones, the thick texture with crispy layer of base; easily melts in mouth.
Kulfi Falooda- Kulfi served with rose falooda and topped with chia seeds. Kulfi is Indian traditional ice cream made with boiled milk, saffron, sugar, cardamom and other added flavors according to preferred choices. it is denser and creamier. This dessert is the love of many people here and is prepared in many households. The richness of spices makes it more extravagant and it does tastes better with falooda.
