Misty hills, lush forest, coffee plantations, orange groves and breathtaking views have made Coorg an unforgettable destination. Coorg is officially known as - The Scotland Of India.
So I decided to go on my solo trip to Coorg. My first Solo trip! It was a sudden plan and I was going to my friend's granny's place in Coorg. I climbed a bus from Bangalore, I had taken all the info from my friend that where should i get down, what time will i reach Coorg etc etc.
Bangalore to Coorg is one night Journey around 4- 5 hours in bus. I reached early morning and it was freezing cold when i got down from the bus and i got to know it was quite early like it was till dark with 1 coffee shops open and Auto drivers chilling with their coffee. I thought why not one hot coffee that too in Coorg, that too in early freezing morning(even though i am not a tea/coffee person).
Then i got into Auto to reach my friend's granny's house with that cold breeze into my face i enjoyed the drive. The house was in middle of greens with all that you need to live happily.
I got a fresh home made welcome drink as coffee again and i must say the taste was different and fresh. I even got to see few coffee seeds and of course a coorgi yummy breakfast
Now the tummy is happy and went for few rounds nearby. Each and every step i took was connected with nature and it was all together a different experience.
My friend's uncle also took me to different other places, we did a small trek, we saw waterfall, river stream and enjoyed our whole day with nature.
Next day, i went to the market with granny, we bought few cooking stuff, snacks etc. I enjoyed the long roads, coffee fragrance and the whole view. See what i could capture.
We came home with the coorg special, "pork" for lunch along with fish and crab. The lunch was so satisfying and had a nice rest too. I got to taste the pork barbeque and enjoy it then and there.
In the evening ,my friend gave me a surprise and i had a lot of chit chats with long long walks together.
This solo trip is really like cant describe in words but will remain unforgettable journey of my life.
Coorg is teh "go- to " place for all the seasons and one of the safest and cleanest places of India. I would like to go travel and explore every inch of Coorg.
I said "Poyitt bann" in Coorgi which means "will return back" to the place when i came back to Bangalore. Go see and feel the wildness experience of Coorg. You will love it!
