No doubt, blogging is fun. But, on the other side, it is challenging too. Traveling while being a blogger makes the travel experience completely different. I am a travel blogger by choice and I love it. But, a blogger has to cross many hurdles and face all kinds of challenges. Earlier, before I decided to become a travel blogger, I used t travel for myself. But now, I not only travel for myself, but for my readers too. I need to make sure to balance two things. The first thing is to do my stuff, explore and the other thing is curating good and useful content for my readers.
Being a travel blogger is not limited to just traveling and then writing up my experience into a blog post. But, it includes a lot more things. I have to pen down my travel experience not just to put my memories into a post, but to inspire other people to travel.
My Motive behind Travel Blogging
Being a travel blogger requires a load of efforts and hard work. A good photo or story does not come out of anywhere! It requires patience, creativity, and lots of effort. I decided to become a travel blogger as I want to inspire people to travel and explore the hidden beauties of the world. Yes, I indeed love traveling. But I love to share my travel experiences with everyone more. I am more of a mountain girl but I do love seas, cities, villages. During my journey as a travel blogger, I faced endless challenges till now, which generally every travel blogger has to come across. “Blogging is Easy!” This is a myth. But those who are bloggers actually, know the pain.
So, here is a list of challenges faced while traveling as a Travel Blogger
1. I have to make sure I have an internet connection wherever I go
I have to carry my laptop along whenever I travel. Also, I need to make sure I have an active internet connection to do my blogging thing. There are times when I want to post something on social media or want to write a blog about someplace while traveling and I don’t have an internet connection. That pisses me off! So to avoid any such delay, I need to make sure that I have an internet connection wherever I travel.
2. I cannot forget to take a picture of my food before eating
During traveling, I have to make sure I take a picture of everything I and my companions are eating. Sometimes they get annoyed too as cant taste food unless I take a picture to upload. Also, I have to make sure to update cuisine pictures of every place I visit.
3. Money is a major challenge
Sometimes, I do not have enough budget for a trip. So, I have to plan my trips accordingly. Other times when I have a sufficient budget, I prefer to stay in good hotels and eat in good lavish restaurants. So, everything has to be planned according to the budget.
4. I have to handle social media too much
I have to make sure to post on social media regularly for good engagement. Handling Instagram stories, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media accounts at the same time can be tedious too. Also, blogging about my travel experiences during traveling can be too overwhelming sometimes. It is fun obviously, but not every time!
5. I can’t miss to capture those amazing views
During any trip, exploring any place, I have to regularly capture those scenes and delicacies of the place. For my travel blogs and social media posts, I have to capture all time I travel.
6. I have to note down all the minute details wherever I travel
To end up with an informative and a good blog post, I have to explore the place accordingly. I cannot miss the facts and details about that place. I believe noting down everything is a good habit. This way you won’t forget the minor points you experienced while traveling to that place.
