It all started on late night talk & we marched for Raigad next morning.
After hectic work for 3 days we friends gathered at night planning for a day out with stressfree nature.
We came up with an idea of Raigad fort as it is situated in Womb of Sahyadri with beautiful nature all around it & historical morale.
Next day at 6 am we 11 friends started our journey, with drizzle as our comapnion on the ghats of Tamhini.
It was my 2nd time to trek Raigad but in rains it was first and the nature here was mesmerizing. After journey of 5 hours we reached our destination.
Rather than Ropeway we decided to trek the fort and within an hour or two we were at top of Fort near Shirkai Devi Temple.
The architectural effect of 17th century was reflectimg through each carving & each structure. From the Coronation palace till the Samadhi of Great Chatrapati we explored monuments, the history of this place drove us to 17th century environment.
After spending long 5 to 6 hours at top we decided to trek down the fort & each descending stair was mere invitation of next trek.
This was my 2nd time to trek this fort but the glaze of this fort was well matched with environment around it.
I can suggest to my traveller & trekker buddies, take a leave go & explore such places, these places are our meant for us and they will bloom you for sure. 🤗
