Can you plan a trip using electric bike - My long trip story

When I bought a new electric bike, I have same doubt like others.Can we plan a trip using electric bike. I have two full battery in the vehicle, Company said you can run 120kms* in full charge.

I planned a trip to a religious place. I used maps to calculate the distance from my location. There was two ways to reach the destination. One is the Highway and other ways to travel in the local roads.

Highway road distance was 10 kms long than other road. I decide to travel in both ways.

Early Morning 6 am started the journey using highway. Vehicle top speed was 40 km. But I drive the vehicle at 30 km.

I drive 15-20 kms and took 10-15 minutes to relax in between. I also took bike charger with me. I reach the destination at 55 kms and spent about 40-60 minutes and had breakfast. While returning home, I choose the other way which is 10 kms less than Highway road.

While coming home also I drive for 20 kms and took some break in between. This was the first time I was driving continuously for a long time.

Totally I have travelled 55 kms to go and 45 kms to return home.In the day, I have travelled 100 kms. I drive the vehicle in the day time, So I didn't use lights.

Since battery is the heart of vehicle. You use light, sound then you range will be reduced.

I planned the trip with vehicle in good condition. You need to check air pressure, battery condition before starting you journey.

Will I plan for another trip ?

No I won't plan, because there is no charging station in many location. Now only in some places, some companies have setup charging station to charge the Electric Vehicle. But In future, I 'll go for a trip again.

My Electric Vehicle is best for travel within city. I can go to Office, Market and nearby places.

If you are going to buy your first Electric Vehicle. Then do some research and test drive before buying.
