Bike Ride to Mayodia

I have been thinking from a few years to go to Mayodia which is the nearest place to enjoy ice for the people in upper Assam.... Anyone can have a one day trip to Mayudia from any place of upper Assam... Me and one of my neighbour started the journey from my home in Makum, Tinsukia.... We started at 6 o'clock in the morning and reached Shantipur gate by 7 o'clock where inner line permit must be taken to enter Arunachal Pradesh... Anyone with valid documents can get inner line permit within half an hour to enter in Arunachal without any prior application... Then we reached Roing at almost 8 o'clock.... Mayudia is 55 kms away from Roing and the whole road is on hills... So Roing is the place to have a quick snack before riding into the hills.... After 28 kms a place named Tiwari Gaon is there on the road where one can have a tea and also a drink in a shop.... It is the only shop available in the road between Roing and Mayudia.... The road is well maintained upto Tiwari Gaon... But after crossing Tiwari Gaon the road is really terrifying as there is no side protection in the road... So if anyone thinking of going in a car must take a Arunachali driver with them to be safe... Drivers can be hired from Roing for a trip to Mayudia... For one or two person motorbike is much better option as per me... After One hour we reached Mayudia Pass and snows in the sides of the road became visible... The roads use to be slippery... So it is advised not to ride motorbike in the roads after reaching Mayudia... We tried to ride in the road but slipped in midway... Then we explored the place on foot... There are 2-3 food stalls in Mayudia Pass where you can enjoy foods like Maggi, Chowmein, Fried rice etc. The price is very high but it is understandable in such a place... There is not much to be seen in Mayudia besides the snow.... It is also to be noted that to enjoy snowfall Mayudia must be visited in a rainy day.... After enjoying snow for almost an hour we started our return journey... One must be very careful in the return journey as the roads are much dangerous while coming down... After almost two hours we reached Roing but stopped for a few minutes in Tiwari Gaon midway.... The Arunachali people are very loving and caring to the travellers going to their places.... So anyone can safely have a trip to Mayudia for a day or two....
