In monsoon, entire west coast of India turns green & looks fabulous, specially the Sahyadri Mountain ranges in western Maharashtra. There are many popular hill stations like Lonavala, Matheran, Panchgani & Mahabaleshwar. Bhandardara is not as known as the places mentioned above.
Bhandardara is in Ahmednagar & can be reached via Mumbai-Nasik Highway. It takes about 2 hrs to reach here from Igatpuri & 4.5 hrs from Mumbai.
During rainy season, this place & the entire surrounding turns into a green heaven. There are many waterfalls in the vicinity, also a big beautiful lake with boating facilities.
