1)Haridwar & Rishikesh, Uttarakhand

Haridwar , just as the name is heard one relate it to its holyness and recall River Ganga , its one of the pilgrimage where thousands of pilgrams come to devote there prayer, wash away there sins in River ganga and attend the peaceful and soulful ganga aarti at the river banks. On the other side , Rishikesh being 2 hr away from Haridware is famous for its river rafting and scenic view. I had visited at start of March which was start of summer & pleasant weather. Being a pilgrim place, one can find many hotels, cafés, restaurants, shopping markets along the streets & river bank side at affordable prices.

Dehradun is popular city in Uttarakhand, located on the foothills of himalayas nestled between River Ganga and Yamuna. It is a well connected city for many other tourist destinations. It is a research hub and house many military academies.

Mussoorie is a Hill Station in foothills of Himalayan range. Located at higher altitude makes it close to nature. It’s very cold in March and perfect getaway, buses run to and fro from Dehradun

Dharamshala famously known as Dalai Lama home is a must visit place in Himachal pradesh & it is known as house for pilgrims and travellers. This hillside city is surrounded by cedar forest and uphill from Kangra. There are many trekking spots here and one can enjoy the snow.
