If you dream high & wanna live your dream... Ladakh is for you. A dream destination & destination of dreams
Day1:
The plan was to have a road trip from Srinagar (Kashmir) to Ladakh but unfortunately because of flood disaster in Kashmir airport was not functional.
As I boarded early morning flight to Ladakh, I could feel the butterfly in stomach. When the aircraft approached to the hills of Ladakh, my excitement was on top. We were flying just above the hills. It looked like a race between clouds & mountains that who can touch the sky & surprisingly the mountains were winning.
Ladakh hills
Well cloud could take the benefit of doubt because the snow covered mountain cap was resembling clouds.

Now it was the time for a bird eye view of Ladakh city. The ragged mountains, blue water, soil with different colour shades... yes I was in Ladakh.
Bird eye view of Ladakh city
Ohh the city is blessed with nature & is a true eye delight.
That day was not a welcome day for me as it was strike of all transports. I have to struggle a lot to find some vehicle which could drop me to city. Finally one gentleman helped me with his cab to the city.
To enhance the adventure I had not booked any hotels. After interacting with couple of local people in streets (which was also rare that day) I found one home stay.
The home lady greeted me with smile & was looking very friendly.
My room had a small garden with variety of flowers. My eyes pooped out seeing the apple tree, jam packed with red apples.

I couldn't control myself to pluck that fresh apple. As I was relishing yummy red apple that lady knocked my door to offer tea. She smiled at me seeing that apple in my hand. As I didn't seek her permission for apple so I had no words but to smile back.
She asked did I like apple, I told her that was the testiest apple I ever had. :)
She said ok you can have more if you like. I was really glad to hear that.
The streets were empty & all shops were closed that day. A silence all around... I could feel my breath & make out the way oxygen travels through nostrils to lungs. I sat on rooftop to glance the nature at its best.
I ended my day with tasty home made dinner & making plans for next day adventure.
Stay with traveller T for travel tale of day - 2.... the journey continues...
